7 ways to increase penis size

Up to 45% of men think they have a small penis.

Penis size plays an important role in a man's sex life and confidence. As such, many men tend to worry about the size of their penis. Lots of guys wish their penis was bigger.

However, most men end up being overly scrutinizing themselves and their abilities to please a partner.

Here are some facts:

Average male penis length is 5.1 inches (MedicalNewsToday)
Across multiple studies, the average length of an unerect penis is seven to ten centimeters (2.8 to 3.9 inches) (LatinLive)
The average fluid circumference or volume is nine to ten centimeters (3.5 to 3.9 inches)
Average erection lengths from twelve to sixteen centimeters (4.7 in) (Science Mag)
And yes, some men are farmers, not showers. In a study conducted by the Journal of Urology, it was also found that the size of a man's penis when erect was not related to the size of his penis when erect.

The good news: If you think you're in short supply, there are simple ways to add length to your penis.

1. Using a pump or traction device to increase height

One of the most popular ways to increase the size of the penis is to stretch it either with your hands or a device.

Stretching exercises with your hands include massaging the tissues along the penis. Similar to exercising muscles in order to increase size, extending the penis in this way aims to tighten the skin and create tiny tears in the tissue. These tiny tears enlarge as they heal, making the penis appear larger, although there is no evidence that this method works in the long term.

The easiest device that can be used to increase penis size is the penis pump, which is a cylindrical shaped chamber filled with air designed to create a vacuum to lengthen the penis for an extended period of time.

As expected, penis pumps can create an instant erection and prolong an erection while in the pump due to the increased forced blood flow within the blood vessels of the penis. With regular use, some men claim that it will increase length permanently.

Traction devices are also popular, which are slightly different from pumps. While pumps are used to temporarily increase the size, traction devices are used to extend the fluid penis. They are used regularly, for up to four to nine hours a day for up to six months. Penis pumps should not be used for more than thirty minutes at a time without the risk of tissue damage.

2. Jelqing
Jelqing is similar to a penis massage, but it involves more pressure applied.

According to fans of jelqing, jelqing can be traced back to the ancient Arab civilization.

Today, most "guidelines" recommend waiting until the penis is almost erect, applying lube, then squeezing around the base of the shaft (closer to the pubic bone) and moving your hand toward the end while squeezing, as if "milking" the penis.

This is supposed to increase height and height, but a contributor to Men's Health claimed to have tried jelking for two weeks without an increase in height or height.

However, it does not appear to do much harm if done correctly, and may have other beneficial effects (it does not necessarily increase penis size). It can be a way for men to be more comfortable with erections and themselves, noting the difference between flaccid length and erection length, both of which can help reduce anxiety about the size of an erection.

That being said, all of these benefits are possible if done right. Like any of these techniques, doing them wrong can lead to permanent damage to the penile tissues and blood vessels. Jelqing incorrectly can create bruising, erection problems (such as erectile dysfunction) and problems with penis curvature.

So be careful!

3. Penile enhancement surgeries
According to a 2015 survey, penis enlargement surgery remains one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures among American men, second only to fat reduction.

There are multiple types of surgeries, including implants, fat injections, and plastic surgery.

There is one doctor in Los Angeles who claims to be the only plastic surgeon in the world to offer penile implants. This type of operation is very similar to women's breast augmentation, in which a silicone implant is inserted into the penis.

This is supposed to increase the penis size by 1.5 inches in length and 2.5 inches in girth. He has already entered more than 1,000 of these implants. However, at a cost of $13,000, plus the potential risks of any surgery (in this case, infection or implant fracture), there may be more risks to this surgery than it's worth.

Fat injection is also a quick liposuction-type procedure, where fat is taken from elsewhere in the body and injected into the penis. This can result in a slight increase in length of less than an inch, a width of just over an inch, and a rod a little heavier.

As far as other surgeries go, there are two basic types: penis lengthening and penis enlargement. Penile lengthening involves cutting the ligament that attaches the penis to the pelvic bone. This makes little more than the shaft visible on the outside of the body, but only on average less than an inch. Most of what it does is actually an illusion about the amount of visible penis and does not actually lengthen the penis. There is also a risk of the ligament re-attachment after the procedure, so in order to prevent this, the man has to use weights or an extended daily routine/service.

Another less demanding surgery is available for some men who have the top of the scrotum attached. These outpatient procedures separate and reattach the bottom, which, similar to other surgery, only exposes more of the penis without actually increasing its size.

The most controversial procedures come with operations to enlarge the penis, which include fat transplants, tissue grafts, and implants. Many penile lengthening/enlargement surgeries have more risks associated with them than getting an implant, including nerve damage, decreased sensitivity, difficulty getting an erection, and scarring that can actually result in the penis being shorter than it was initially.

Additionally, none of these procedures have been proven to be safe or effective by the American Urological Association, so if it has any of these potential, please proceed with extreme caution and weigh the pros and cons before making a decision like surgery. In a study conducted by the European Urology Department, only 35% of men (out of a sample size of 42) were satisfied with this procedure.

4. Weight loss and shaving

Crazy statistic: For every thirty to fifty pounds of extra weight, an inch of visible penis is lost.

This is not about actual length, but given that the penis actually appears smaller when viewed from above than when viewed directly from the front or side, not being able to see the penis may make men think their size is smaller than it actually is for you and a partner. In addition to the reduced visible volume, there are several other sexual health issues associated with being overweight/overweight:

Low self-esteem: Excess weight is likely to drain confidence, which can affect the way men see themselves (and their penis), as well as a general increase in anxiety and depression, which can lead to a performance problem. If the partner is not satisfied, men may think it is because of the penis size.
Decreased stamina: Many men will admit that their general health declines when they gain weight. Any additional weight on the cardiovascular system will reduce its output, which negatively affects the amount of time men can engage in physically demanding sexual activity.
Skin problems: When skin folds are present, the possibility of skin problems increases as the problem of exotic skin folds that is difficult to clean continues. When the penis gets caught between one of these folds, it can cause a lot of problems with the penis itself, including thrush, dysplasia, and crotch rot.
Loss of sensation: There are more than 4,000 nerve endings at the end of the penis, and when excess fat crushes some of these nerves, it can cause a loss of sensation, which can make sexual activity less pleasurable.
Circulatory problems: Being overweight is known to cause circulatory problems, but it is not only the heart that can be affected. Blood flow to the penis may also be diminished when there is excess body fat, which can lead to incomplete erections or erectile dysfunction.
Even if there is not a lot of fat covering the penis, most of the time, shaving pubic hair can make the penis appear larger. It won't make a difference in height or ability to perform, but if you are concerned about the way you look to a partner, removing a lot of hair around the base can create a more visible shaft.

5. Medicines to increase penis size

pill bottle ED medication

An estimated 18.4% of men over the age of 20 will experience some form of erectile dysfunction over the course of their lives. This does not necessarily indicate a medical problem, as there are many causes of ED, but some men who have it frequently may benefit from medication.

If performance and confidence can be increased by a full erection, there are two great prescriptions on the market marketed towards men: Cialis and Viagra.

While both drugs claim to help men have harder and longer erections, the main difference between these two drugs is how quickly they start working and how long they stay in the system.

Everyone reacts differently to medications, and effectiveness can depend on what type of meal is taken with the medication (eg, longer absorption time if a high-fat meal is eaten before the medication). But in general, Viagra works faster, working on an erection for up to an hour after taking it, while Cialis takes a little longer, starting in about two hours after taking it. However, Cialis lasts much longer, claiming the ability to get an erection at any time during a 36-hour window versus the five-hour window you get with Viagra. Which one is right for each individual depends on the side effects they are experiencing. If you experience a lot of harmful side effects, it may be best to get into your system and out of your system as soon as possible.

Read our article: "Cialis vs. Viagra"

Both have common side effects, so talk to your doctor before trying either to see which one is best for you. If you're trying to skip the waiting room and order via a website, there are some good options:

BlueChew: BlueChew prescribes the drug online with the same ingredients as Viagra and Cialis at a lower cost. You can also avoid the embarrassment of talking to your doctor about ED or waiting in line at the drug store to name your name for ED medication, as the medication is delivered directly and exclusively to your door. Although ED is not embarrassing, it is not always easy to admit performance issues.
Hims: Hims is more versatile than BlueChew if you are also in the market for hair loss, premature ejaculation, performance anxiety medication plus something to help with ED. For ED, Hims delivers a direct dose of Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. They promote a discount from having to pay only $5 for the first month and also have your prescriptions delivered to your door. They require an online assessment after checkout for any prescriptions, so while it's easy to order, there's still a certain screening process you have to go through before you send us your medications. They list the side effects right on the page, so there is no doubt about the risk, but they are not unlike the side effects associated with Viagra or Cialis.
Roman: Roman offers more options, with medicines for cold sores, genital herpes, and medicines to help you quit smoking, and for an enlarged prostate. Roman offers free delivery for 2 days after completing an online assessment in which you tell the doctor your medical history and symptoms you can get a treatment plan “from a licensed doctor” within 24 hours. There are a large number of positive reviews on their homepage as well as a separate page where you can see pricing information on all the drugs they offer.

6. Natural Remedies

There are many natural remedies you can try, but most of them are marketed more towards ED than increasing penis length that is healthy and working well.

Panax Ginseng: Red ginseng has been extensively researched with some proven efficacy in helping with ED. There are currently more studies on how exactly red ginseng can help fight ED, but so far, doses of anywhere between 600 and 1,000 mg three times daily have been found to improve lung function and blood flow, thus allowing men to have better erections.
Rhodiola rosea: In a small study of 35 men, 26 people who received rhodiola rose significantly improved sexual performance, increased energy, and reduced fatigue. More research is currently being conducted on efficacy and safety.
DHEA: DHEA is a natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands, and has been found at a lower dose in men with ED. In another small study of 40 men, half were given a DHEA supplement and half were given a placebo. Half who got DHEA had an increased chance of getting and maintaining an erection and those who took the placebo. DHEA has been found to be a good treatment for ED in men with diabetes, but more research is being done on the side effects and safety of DHEA as well.
Acupuncture: results are mixed with this method of treatment, but tend to lean on the positive side. A 1999 study found that 39% of its patients had improved erections and regained sexual activity. A 2003 study reported positive results in 21% of the sample, but it shows a potentially promising ED option with little risk if performed by a professional.

7. Addressing underlying health issues
There can be many causes for penile weakness and erectile dysfunction, but it is important to treat any cause that is caused by underlying health issues.

In many cases, ED has a physical cause, which can include:

heart disease
High cholesterol or blood pressure
diabetic
obesity
Sleep disorders
There are also psychological factors that can cause a lack of sexual desire, such as depression, stress or relationship problems. If you are considering therapy, read our review on BetterHelp (for online advice).
Tobacco use can also cause blood vessels to constrict, so quitting smoking may be an easy way to find out if this is the cause all the time!
Talk to your doctor if you feel you have any of these physical or psychological symptoms as the cause of your injury.

Sometimes, it can be a combination of the two or an underlying health condition that you weren't even aware of before. It is not an embarrassing thing to discuss with your doctor. you're not the only one!
